Here is a birthday cake that the kids love. We have had several kinds of birthday cakes, fancy ones from the bakery, but after I baked this one the first time, the kids want it again and again. We have 5 children birthdays per year.

It is very easy. You don’t need to be an artist to get this cake perfect. I have this recipe from Iceland. My mother-in-law used to bake this cake when my husband was a child.

  • Put the frosting on top of one cake by using a knife

  • Put the second cake on top

  • Cover the cake on top and on side with frosting carefully with a knife
